National Parks

National Parks are our nation’s natural monuments that stretch the profound experience of observing the aesthetic beauty of our country into the real experience of being connected to our homeland in an inspiring and organic setting. The National Parks Service is dedicated to keeping these precious pieces of land protected and nurtured so that these magnificent blankets of pictorial landscapes can remain open and accessible to anyone who wishes to take the amazing journey through any one of their innumerable entrances throughout the country. The National Parks Services believes that all of our nation’s precious parks require an educational and evolutionary understanding of all the life that exists in each of the National Parks and its mission is to keep these monuments unharmed for future generations. Since its creation in 1915, The National Parks Service continues the legacy of George Melendez Wright who was the first pioneer to crystallize the importance of our country’s National Parks through research and personal documentation. The service continues today through the valued commitment of scientists, teachers, volunteers and natural resource managers throughout the country. The national park service community is committed to the preservation of our national parks and to keep them free of pollution and urban development by producing outsource investment funding to keep the parks vitalized for the some 275 million visitors that come to the National Parks each year.

Cherished national park units

Grand Teton National ParkYosemite National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Grand Teton National Park as well as the abundance of National Parks in Florida, California, Washington, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Oregon and so many others across the country are all under the watchful eye of the National Parks Service. There is nothing that can be compared to the bountiful magnificence of the natural purifying energy that emanates from the cliffs, valleys, rivers, lakes, mountaintops and prairies of these beloved stretches of Earth.

The National Parks Service works in tandem with state governments, local governments, nonprofit environmental organizations, private and conglomerate businesses and individual citizens as a team of wildlife enthusiasts who care about the safety and future of our treasured organic land masses. These are the true heroes of our time as the struggle to fight against global warming and climate change continues and enters into its most critical days. The National Parks Service provides funding, volunteers, and scientists to work on and care for the some 84,000,000 acres of land that stretch across the country. Just to put this into perspective, in addition to the acreage, the National Parks Service is the protector of over 85,049 miles of perennial rivers and streams! That also includes the preservation and cultivation of over 68,561 archeological sites and over 43,162 miles of shoreline! The service protects the survival of over 400 endangered species and produces outdoor recreation grants that maintainance and restore the treasures of over 27,000 historic structures. The National Park Service is a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior and is led by a Director nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
